1. Ireland

Halloween has ancient Celtic roots, particularly the festival of Samhain, which was celebrated in Ireland and other parts of the Celtic world. The modern Halloween tradition developed over many centuries.

Hallow is an old word meaning saint or holy person. “All Hallows’ Eve” therefore means the evening before All Saints’ Day.

3. A coven
